Before I start, I would like you to know that it is the will of God that you are healthy. It is God’s will that you live up to a good old age, not in misery but in pleasure and peace (3 John 1: 2). John speaking by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost in 3 John 1: 2 said, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. If it weren’t the will of God that we are in health, then why would God send His only begotten son to die for us to gain access through redemption to salvation and healing? 1 Peter 2: 21- 25.
Vs 24 of 1 Peter 2 says, “ Who his own self bare our sins in his body on the tree, that we being dead to sin should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed.
This scripture shows what Jesus did for us. He died for us that we may have a right- standing (righteousness) with God. By His stripes, we are healed.
Now, the devil is the one with the ministry of stealing, killing and destroying (John 10: 10) he has NOTHING GOOD to offer. If this is true, why do Christians/ believers still fall sick, and some die as a result of diseases? Also, why do people still say God uses sickness/ disease to teach one a lesson.
Answers to the questions on healthy living
Starting with the second question, it is a false doctrine that God uses sickness/ disease to deal with people. Why would He send His only begotten son to go through all that if He would still use it against man? It’s a lie of the devil. People are yet to understand the kind of love God has for man/ the world (John 3: 16).
Answering the first question, one major way the devil has access to a believer’s life is through ignorance. When he/ she doesn’t know what the word of God says concerning them in that area or they know but are not putting it into practice. Other ways/ channels through which the devil has access to one’s life is through sin, not walking in love and fear. It’s important that we judge ourselves so that we don’t end up judged by God.
Leaving God to do everything without any input from us will lead to zero results. For every divine intervention, we have our own part to play. God’s part is constant. Once we’ve played ours we can be sure to receive results knowing what God says in His Word in any area relating to your life, doing His prescribed instructions will result in exploits.
