Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over (Psalm 23: 5, KJV).
The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. (Psalm 110: 2).
These Bible passages point to the fact that we can actually rule comfortably despite the appearance of evil. Irrespective of the arrow the enemy shoots or his evil plot we are more than conquerors.
The first Bible verse is about David while the second refers to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the previous post I mentioned how we are in dark times, things have really changed and people cannot be trusted. There are some places we go to and notice various forces in operation. This could be from God or the devil. Those that are spiritually sensitive will know this. For example, if you are relocating to a different environment, there is usually a force in place, whenever light is absent, darkness occupies such a place, and there is no vacuum.
Although this is true, the Word of God tells us that our light should shine brighter and brighter even until the perfect day. In the midst of all this darkness, our light will guide people through and show them the way to the true light i.e Jesus. Despite this darkness, God still prepares a table for us right in the midst of our enemies.
Let your light shine
As believers and children of God, it is our responsibility to represent Jesus wherever we are. No matter how dark a place was before getting there, once we get to such a place, light must be present. It is not right that we bargain with the enemy or hide from darkness. This is because we have superior light.
Luke 11: 21-22 says; “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils”. It is true that the enemy will try all he can to take back his territory through various means but at the end of the day, if you don’t give up, light will conquer. There is no greater power than our God. The Father of lights with whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning (James 1: 17- 18).
Although when we start engaging with our weapon or the mysteries of the kingdom, it may initially look like nothing is happening, before you know it everything clears up with persistence and continuity.
You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. Don’t let the enemy tell you otherwise.
May God Bless you all.
