People who make it to the top are not liked by everyone. In order to make it to the top God’s way, one has to follow godly principles such as honesty, integrity, doing the right thing, not being a man-pleaser, etc. All these things the world hates and if they hated Jesus, God’s only begotten son, we should not expect to escape it.
Now, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The way people react in different situations differ. What one person may take personally, another would laugh and walk past it. The more developed you are at handling a situation, the easier it becomes for you to tackle such situations when thrown at your face.
What people should have in mind
When people say all manner of things against you for one irrelevant reason or the other, as long as God agrees with what you are doing, don’t be upset, you are on the right track. What is needed at this point is to develop resistance in that area? This resistance one develops has a lot to do with one’s personality. Asking God to help you become the kind of person he wants you to be is the goal. He will take you through steps on what to do.
People are too concerned about now that they overlook tomorrow. Yes, you are happy with the many friends you have but tomorrow, when they are all gone how far would you have gone in fulfilling your destiny on earth? When people look down on you because of a silly reason known to them, they forget it’s the end that matters not the beginning. Experiences along the way have a way of shaping people for the better or worse.
As long as you are in tune with God and do the things that please Him, whether people don’t like you or you have few friends is irrelevant. Just play your part by working with God and let Him keep shocking them by what He will be doing in your life.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner, I surrender to you. Forgive me all my sins, wash me clean by your blood, and deliver me from the power of sin and death. I believe that you died for me and on the third day you rose again. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Thank you Lord, for delivering me from the power of sin and death. I am delivered, I am saved and now a child of God.
