Are you going nuts? Someone may ask.
Walking with God requires your faith. Faith to listen to His instructions and follow His directions.
In this world full of ups, downs, and distractions it is very important we stay quiet, and have quiet times with God on a daily basis where He gives us instructions. The more you spend time with God, the more you hear His voice and know it is Him when He speaks to you. It’s by this that we are able to move forward and fulfill our destiny on earth.
The importance of having a personal relationship with God cannot be overemphasized. It is so important, more important than religious principles. Religion will not take one to heaven but having a personal relationship with God, knowing the heart of God, and following His instructions makes one a candidate for heaven.
There are times He gives instructions and people around you will think you are going nuts or that you need some form of evaluation because of the action you’ve taken according to the instruction.
Testimony
Can you imagine what it looks like after being a pastor in a church with a large following/ congregation wakes up one morning and notices that God is taking them through another path?
He tells you to leave everything about this church and move to another location to start all over. To make matters worse, the location is in a bush/ forest. How do you think people will perceive this? There is a high probability that one would have to go to God to confirm the message is from Him before moving on because, in the human perspective, it doesn’t look good, the person must be going nuts.
One thing we forget is, that God’s ways are far different from that of men. What men see as foolishness could have a lot of wisdom in the sight of God.
Now, there could be issues obeying these instructions some of which include yourself, the mentality of “what will people say”, faith to take action, etc. It is true that people may drag you, laugh at you, and call you all sorts of names because of the decisions you will take in line with instructions from God but at the end of the day, the joke will be on them. Those who thought you were going nuts will come to celebrate with you.
If you really want to fulfill destiny in grand style, you can’t be like everyone else. You can’t do the things they do, you can’t reason the way they do because you are walking with the only wise God (Jude 1: 25). His instructions look foolish/ weird in the eyes of men but the end speaks loud.
Societal Beliefs
Settling down in homes early is seen as the normal thing in the society but believe it or not there are those that have been ordained by God to settle down later in life.
Listening to society on how to fulfill your God-given destiny is a recipe for disaster because they have no idea what your journey is meant to look like. They only judge by what they see others going through. God knows your process, He knows where you should and shouldn’t be at each point in time. Rather than going with what you can see and hear from the society, spend time with God and follow His every instruction even though you may not see how the process will lead to your glorious end.
He is pleased with those who don’t know what the end holds but still believe and follow His instructions. In order words, He is pleased with those who have faith in Him for without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11: 16).
Testimony completion
To complete the testimony about the pastor starting all over, the church didn’t just grow in that location but many more branches of the church sprung up in that nation and around the world blessing millions of people. Just imagine if the pastor decided not to take the step of faith but to listen to advice from society. What if He believed society when they said he was going nuts?
Until you take that step of faith, don’t expect God to work in your favour because faith is not only in words but in action.
