Life could mean different things to different people. Some see life as what they go through others see it as where they live.
I have come to understand a few things about life
Life is very temporal and also fast
The people that can make you understand how fast life is are the elderly. They remember when they were young, youths, and all of a sudden they are now regarded as senior citizens. They understand what the saying, “how time flies” really means. Young people may not fully understand how temporal and fast life is because counting years to them seems very far. As a result of this, they make unhealthy choices that affect their future but don’t really bother about repercussions because the future is still far. Well, the future is already here.
About life being temporal, people chase after money, fame, power, etc with all their might. That’s all they think about. There are those who get all these and then die in their prime leaving everything behind. There are some people who are refugees who were once wealthy but the war took everything away from them but spared their lives. These people worked all their lives just to end up with nothing.
The truth is, it’s only God that can secure your life and wealth. When you know Him and obey His instructions you feel His peace because you know you are safe.
Life is every man for himself
There are billions of people on earth with millions in various countries. We are born into families, and homes, we grow up in communities, meet people, and make friends but the truth is, our journey on earth is alone. No matter how much your parents love you, they can’t run your journey for you. A time will come when they will grow old and leave you on planet earth. There is an adage that says “20 children cannot play for 20 years”. One day, they will need to find their way.
It is true that people come into our lives for different purposes and also during different seasons but when the time comes, they leave.
Every man has his own destiny, his path. Stop envying others and follow your own path because the time when one can no longer do as much as he used to in his youth will soon come. We may be on the same level today but what speaks differently is the end, not the journey to the end.
It is also important to understand that any decision you make in life, whether it’s influenced by people or not, you are responsible for the end result. It is therefore vital to make decisions with care
Life is knowing your pattern and following it.
Our journey in life has obstacles/ hurdles one would need to cross before moving to the next level. Growing up, we may not have fully understood this because we were under the cover of our parents/guardians. The level, the process, and obstacles differ from person to person. The process requires gaining momentum and going through hard training which is not usually palatable. People around you may think you are in a form of bondage. During this time people even receive attacks from the enemy. All of this is to strengthen your faith and make you a fiery weapon in God’s hands to overcome that obstacle with ease when the time comes.
People not aware of this stage often seek other means because to them, they’ve prayed, fasted, and done all but nothing seems to change. Of course, people from the other side will always give a reason for their stagnation/ bondage all in a bid to win them over.
When the time comes, when the process is complete, then you will begin to enjoy open doors in your new season.
Having this at the back of your mind and understanding what season you are in brings you peace in the midst of the storms/ difficult times. When you know that you are in the process to your new level, you will know how to maximize every opportunity that comes your way and at the same time overlook what people may think/ say.
It is important you accept Jesus into your life if you want to have a close relationship with God and let Him be your personal Lord and Saviour. If you are in this category, join me in the salvation prayer.
