Still on Jane

She was kind to everyone but when it came to making friends, she became careful. Jane kept meeting people and making very few friends, sometimes no friends. All through her years of meeting people, gaining friends, and disengaging from others, she learnt something interesting. Making a lot of friends could be distracting and this can make one go off course. There are usually fights, quarrels that could be minimized when one has a few friends. Another truth she noticed was, some of the friends she made were not actually meant to be. A large number of them were meant to stay as acquaintances but when they turned out to be friends, they had no positive impact in her life but rather drained her energy.

Having the right friend

Having the right friends gives one peace and direction but a company of wrong friends takes one off course.

When you decide to stick with God and do things to please Him, your life will begin to change for the better. For those who were men-pleasers, you will start noticing some changes. As a result of this, people may start saying all manner of things against you. One should be surprised if they don’t. It’s very okay not to be liked by everyone, even Jesus our perfect example was not liked to the extent of being betrayed by a close friend.

The wonderful thing about sticking with God is the joy you get, knowing that you are going somewhere and that place is the top. When God honours you, nobody can dishonour you. He even makes those who don’t like you favour you.

This is the kind of friendship we should aim for, i.e. partnering with God because it brings a lot of benefits both on earth and eternity.

Rather than doing things to please men, why not please God. When you please God, He will make men favour you even if they don’t like you.

If you want to surrender to Jesus, take this salvation prayer.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner, I surrender to you. Forgive me all my sins, wash me clean by your blood, and deliver me from the power of sin and death. I believe that you died for me and on the third day you rose again. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Thank you Lord, for delivering me from the power of sin and death. I am delivered, I am saved and now a child of God.

Congratulations my dear brother and sister. Now a brand new you have emerged because if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5: 17). If you just surrendered to Jesus, you can reach us lychicrafts@gmail.com to stay in touch

Advice: Colossians 1: 9-12

9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,

11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
