Well, please don’t call me lazy because really, I don’t like stress nor do i like to waste my energy. People can interpret this statement as meaning different things but I intend to address what I mean shortly. We live in a world where you have to work to get things done. Parents have to take care of their families, Fathers need to put food on the table. Sometimes children would have to work to survive. This occurs if parents are not available or they are in abject poverty.
What do do I mean?
What do you mean by “you cannot stress yourself” haven’t you heard that there is no food for a lazy man? I totally agree with this saying but I also believe that if you want to have the best results for your labour then you have to do it the right way.
In this day and age, people are doing so many things at the same time. They are on the verge of becoming, “Jack of all trades, master of none”. They do so many things and just hope that at the end of the day, one will click and immerse a lot of wealth.
For those in this category, it can be tiresome and also drain one’s energy. I’ve been in this category but I thank God for the light that helped me breakthrough. It is better to focus one’s energy on something that will yield much fruit rather than doing so many things or scattering your energy on things that will yield average or no fruit.
This has made a number of people work like an elephant and eat like a grasshopper. That shall not be your portion in Jesus’s name, Amen.
It could be really stressful and frustrating being in this category and stress does not only take its toll on one’s pocket (economy) but also on one’s physical and mental health. Health is wealth.
How to know what to do
“How do I know what to do?”, Someone may ask. The only true way to know is to ask God. Yes, you may find it in your passion or hobby but to get your answer in detail, i.e how you should go about it and what needs to be put in place, God is the only one that has the answer to all of it.
He created us and designed our lives for a particular purpose on earth and this will bring fulfillment once we start engaging it. His plan is usually way bigger than ours. It’s not something we can do on our own therefore making us rely solely on Him. God gives us the big picture by revealing the steps bit by bit. Once we are faithful in one, He then unveils the other. If you are yet to know Him, you are missing out on a lot of fruitful and fulfilling adventures.
channel your energy
You may be the kind of person who doesn’t like expending energy on things you see as irrelevant but when you see something in line with your purpose and calling, you pour your whole heart into it. This is called wisdom. Although people may see you as being lazy, you know exactly what you are doing.
Way forward
Save your energy for important things God has placed in your life that will definitely yield results like your family and calling/ purpose. Don’t stress yourself on things that are not worth it such as the wrong job, fake friends, backbiting/ gossiping, any negative thing that may upset you, or affect your peace.
God’s will is that we prosper, but to do so it is important to ask for His direction and obey His instructions. Although His plan for us is way bigger than what we can think or imagine (1 Corinthians 2:9-10), He has already mapped out how to make it easier for us without stress. Our part is to ask for His direction and then do what He tells us.
The devil has also used this medium to weigh people down by introducing various ideas that are actually not useful but may look good. In the end, there will be nothing to show for it, only wasted time and energy. Find time to cut off these irrelevances from your life and let God restore your peace and energy back.
To be part of those working in the right direction and fulfilling destiny, you need to know Jesus because He is the way, the truth and He is the way to the Father. To have access to God the Father, you will need to go through Him. If you want to become His, the follow the salvation prayer below.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner, I surrender to you. Forgive me all my sins, wash me clean by your blood, and deliver me from the power of sin and death. I believe that you died for me and on the third day you rose again. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Thank you Lord for delivering me from the power of sin and death. I am delivered, I am saved and now a child of God.
