When Circumstances around your life has a strong hold on you, what do you do?
There are times when circumstances around your life change for the worst and you don’t know what to do. Let’s start with those who are not loved.
When you don’t receive the love you desire from your parents
There are sometimes in life when past occurrences in one’s life keep them from moving forward. If you are in this type of situation, you need to take charge of that past event and overcome it.
Some children born in stable homes, things happened that threw them off balance resulting in them having bitter experiences. Some of which include; ending up in an Orphanage, divorce of parents, harassment etc.
Whatever the case may be, one thing to know is that God owns us and our parents are our custodians. Even if you don’t receive the love and care you desire from your parents, God is the one who you really belong to and He loves you beyond what you can think or imagine. God is eagerly waiting for you to run into His arms so just do that and receive your restoration.
When things don’t go the way they should, your help can ONLY come from God and He is closer to you than you think. A passage in the Bible says, “When my Father and my Mother forsake me the Lord will take me up”.
Advice for older people
For those who are of age i.e are no longer under parental guidance, you are responsible for the outcome of your life.
Those waiting for their Uncles, Parents etc to do something for them and get angry when they are not forthcoming should understand that they have the responsibility of taking care of themselves. If it’s money, go find something doing no matter how small and God will bless the works of your hands. If it’s a connection, God is the best connection you can ever get. I can testify to this fact that He sends people your way to help you. He makes people like or prefers you better than others.
One good thing about being connected to God is, no man on earth will say a thing like, “you will never have made it this far if not for me” and there will be no need of losing your integrity or being a slave to someone for the sake of, “not knowing when you will need their help”. God is the only helper you will ever need. When you look up to God, there is no need looking up to a man for anything. Having this mentality helps your integrity.
Also, God is interested in every step you take and every minute detail of your life. He created you and therefore knows you well. You don’t know yourself more than He knows you so if you need to know something about your life, ask Him.
First and foremost to know God, you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. No man can come to the Father except through Jesus. Remember when you pray, it’s in the name of Jesus. Once this is done, you begin to walk in the light of His Word.
When you want something from God, ask Him directly, when you need directions, ask Him, whatever it is that bothers you, tell Him and He will give you directions at all time.
Some people just stay there and say that God knows all. Yes, He does but He is the same person that says you should ask.
Overcoming the challenges
Circumstances and situations should not change you like negatively. As Christians, we are permitted to be challenged but NEVER defeated. Even when we face trials, God is there with us, He makes it so easy just the way lions became pillion for Daniel. Why people find it difficult during this time is because they don’t give God the chance to help them. Their ‘no Faith’ shuts Him away. He already told us to cast your cares and burdens on Him. When God allows a particular challenge to mold your life, it’s to make you a better person something like a process of maturity.
You can be who God wants you to be irrespective of the circumstances or challenges that you may be facing. That challenge you are passing through will not only make you a better person but also you will be priviledged to help others who are in that same situation at the moment when you finally overcome it because you will.
People listen better to those who have been in the same situation that they face presently.
Also, know that people have been where you are and have come out victorious irrespective of how big/huge the problem might look.
Once you overcome those circumstances, God puts you in the next phase of your life which is always brighter and better.
Hand it all over to God, let him take care of you.
